FRED awards 63 scholarships to rural students

This year FRED awarded 63 Scholarships to rural students. FRED would like to congratulate the 2010 Class of FRED Scholars.

Rural High School Students Take Part in Leadership Through Learning Program

April 11 through the 16, FRED welcomed 12 rural high school students from across the country to Washington D.C. During their time in Washington, the students were able to visit all the major monuments and memorials, even visit with their members of Congress.

2009 Scholarships Awarded to Exceptional Students
The Foundation for Rural Education and Development (FRED) awarded $72,500 in scholarships to some of the most outstanding students rural America has to offer. A total of 59 students were selected to receive scholarships from the organization. Over 160 applicants applied to this program this year. More
